Elect ONE of the following candidates:

Candidate Bio
Ali Tuddenham
I am a 2nd year Applied Animal Biology major in the Faculty of Land and Foods Systems here at UBC. Apart from being dedicated to my studies, I have also been loyal to the LFS over the past year. I:o have acted as the applied biology representative to the LFSUSo attend and volunteer at every event that the LFSUS has hostedo spend my Wednesday evenings helping with the ‘Wednesday Night Barbecues’o braved the chaos of Imagine Day and eagerly welcomed the new first year students with the LFS pancake breakfasto and help set up and host the LFS beer gardens, community dinners, etc.
I understand what LFS stands for: environmental sustainability and natural conservation. With this, my extra time is spent volunteering at the Wildlife Rescue Association of British Columbia where I care for injured wild animals until they can be released back to the wild.As the LFSUS Treasurer, I will:

o implement my excellent organization techniques so the society runs smoothly
o execute my excellent time-management skills
o continue devoting myself for what the LFS stands: environmental respect and sustainability
o utilize my experience at volunteering at my high school’s Vancity Credit Union branch to be the best treasurer possible

It’s simple to see that I, Ali Tuddenham am a great choice for LFS Exec 2012-2013

Jessica Phung

My name is Jessica and I am a 1st year Applied Biology student running for the position of Treasurer in your Land and Food Systems Undergraduate Society (LFS|US). This past year I have been a consistent, contributing member at large in LFS|US and hope to further contribute by becoming your Treasurer in the upcoming school year.

Not only have I been actively involved in building community dynamics as a 1st year in LFS, but I first began my passion for involvement outside the classroom in High School. I was a committed member of Student Council for 3 years, Grad Council and a member of the finance team at Junior Achievement British Columbia (JABC) A Student- Venture. Through JABC, I have experience with bookkeeping, invoices, managing assets, and financial statements.

My strong communication skills and my ability to easily adapt to new environments would allow me to create a strong foundation as your LFS|US Treasurer.

Lydia Kiu
Dear Aggies,I am Lydia Kiu, a second year Nutritional Science major. I have been involved with LFS|US since last summer which provided me ample of opportunities to take part in LFS|US events. I take a lot of pride as a part of the Faculty that brought me to join the LFS|US committee. I participated in many LFS events. LFS Frosh, Beer Garden, AGGIES week, LFS Community Dinner, just to list a few.  My favourite event would be the Wednesday BBQ that allow our faculty to enjoy a meal together at the basement of MacMilan.I am confident in this position with my past experience as a Treasurer. I was elected as the Treasurer of my high school’s Student Council for 2 consecutive years. I am also the current Treasurer of Seri Malaysia Club here in UBC. This is why I am very familiar with the AMS Finance Commission. I guarantee a smooth process in various procedures of cash/cheque reimbursements and budget planning.I am one of the three Squad Leader for UBC Imagine this year which gives me the opportunity to work closely with LFS faculty members as well as the Orientation and Transition team. My past UBC involvements include, the participations of Student Leadership Conference 2011 and 2012, Gold-level completion of VP Emerging Leader, MUG Leader 2011, LFS Frosh Logistic Leader, Student mentor of CLASS and many more. In short, my leadership capacity has readied me to serve as a Treasurer for LFS|US. You will not regret your decision by voting me as your next Treasurer of LFS|US. Thank you.
