Hey Kinners!My name is Abhi Cherukupalli and I’m running for a KUS position as VP Communications!Here’s a little about me: I am a first year student straight out of Delta now in the Health Studies and Kinesiology stream and am currently involved in KIN-TV. I enjoy playing sports both competitive and recreational and am involved with the UBC Rec Leagues. I also play the drums as a hobby. Now to the important stuff, I’d like to see the communications branch of the KUS: As a new KIN student and being involved with the KUS this year, I feel I can do a great job as VP Communications and make KIN as awesome for everyone as it was for me. Howdy KIN StudentsFor those of you who don’t know me my name is Jonathan Chow, although most people call me Jonboy. If your curious about why then you can come and ask me and I can tell you a story about how my brothers are evil. Anyways I am a third year in the interdisciplinary stream that transferred from Capilano University.When I was at Cap I was a part of the student council with the title of “Mancretary”. It consisted of a whole bunch of note taking and event planning. This year I was delegated as KUS sports rep and I have been apart of numerous KIN teams for events and sports. I also have myspace, twitter, a youtube account, facebook, a mouth, skype, a cell phone, and email!!! Which are all modes of communication, which is partly why I think I would be good for this position.
What I would like to do within the communications department would be to continually develop KIN TV, create a website page where KIN students can communicate to create KIN specific rec teams and to promote the awareness of KIN events and activities to the students. Basically I think KUS is awesome and I would really like to get involved within the system to try and help progress it further. I hope that you will give me the opportunity to do so and thanks for the support. |
