Candidate Bio
Jeff Boudreau

Hello Fellow Arts Students,

My name is Jeff Boudreau; I am in my third year working towards a major in
History and Archaeology of Greece, Rome, and the Near East and Co-President of
the CNERS Student Association. I am running for Arts Undergraduate Society
President because I feel like I can help move Arts and the AUS forward to greater
student engagement and involvement through having the AUS working more
closely with the Arts Clubs to hold more events each month. I also feel that there
is a need for a review of governance with regards to the position of General Officer
and lastly, I believe it is time to seriously start looking at Arts Students having
their own dedicated building. With your votes and the right leadership, we can
make this a reality.

Cheers,

Jeff Boudreau

Jenny Chen
  • Create a more functional and enjoyable space for Arts students through renovations of current Arts space
  • Giving back to the students by providing Arts specific events and benefits
  • Represent Arts students by advocating for Arts centred issues

Having been involved with the AUS for the past three years made me realize how much potential it held. Working as VP Student Life this past year has taught me not only what the organization needs but also what Arts students need.

Arts students need a home away from home, a space where they can study, socialize or simply to wind down. By creating a more functional student space, students will be able to enjoy amenities such as meeting rooms, printers and silent study space.

Caring for Arts students and their best interest is what motivates AUS and everyone in it. I believe it is time for us to give back to the students. Whether it is through services, events or simply academic and social support, we need to strive to become the go-to people for students in need.

While the university is constantly working to improve its programs, it is not
enough to satisfy the ever-changing needs of Arts students. Advocating for
issues such as minors in other faculties as well degree requirements and
structures will help students better achieve their goal.
